Ingredients for the base:
200g butter
200g sugar
4 eggs
200g wheat flour
2 tsp baking powder
60g cocoa powder
For the icing:
250g white chocolate
175g butter (unsalted)
400g icing sugar
Chocolate flakes for the decoration.
1) Line and grease the mould (24cm), and preheat your oven to 180^C.
2) Cream the butter (room temperature) with the sugar until light an fluffy.
3) Beat in the eggs gradually, and then fold in the flour, the baking powder
and cocoa powder added.
Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
Buttercream: Beat the room temperature butter with half the icing sugar until smooth.
Add the remaining icing sugar in parts and mix until it forms a paste.
Melt the white chocolate and mix it into the buttercream until smooth.
If it is too thick, add a little milk.
Divide the base in two peaces and use half of the buttercream inside, and spread the other half
over the top of the cake. Sprinkle with chocolate flakes, and the cake is ready to enjoy!
